To comprehend and to understand God
above all similitudes,
as He is in Himself,
is to be God with God,
without intermediary,
and without any otherness
that can become a hindrance
or an intermediary.
Whosoever wishes to understand this must have died to himself, and must live in God, and must turn his gaze to the eternal light in the ground of [...]

Physics and Metaphysics
A river has a name, a character,
a personality;
it is liked or disliked as an entity.
This is due to a variety of factors:
its rapidity or sluggishness,
its breadth, depth, length,
its form and course,
its smoothness,
number of islands,
and the vegetation
and topographical character
of its immediate environment.
But it flows;
from whatever angle you may look,
it is never the same for [...]

When you give a shilling to a beggar - do you realize that you are giving it to yourself? When you help a lame dog over a stile - do you realize that you yourself are being helped? When you kick a man when he is down - do you realize that you are [...]

Is repetitive action virtuous action?
If behaviour and conduct are merely repetitive processes then
all human relationships actually cease.
If I behave mechanically every day,
- repeating a certain code of conduct which I have learnt,
which I find profitable, or which is pleasant,
repeating that over and over again, -
my relationship with you ceases, completely [...]

(One of my favorite poets; thought you might enjoy it too)
excerpts from Perpetuum Mobile: The City
—a dream
we dreamed
each
separately
we two
of love
and of
desire—
that fused
in the night—
in the distance
over
the meadows
by day
impossible—
The city
disappeared
when
we arrived—
A dream
a little false
toward which
now
we stand
and stare
transfixed—
All at once
in the east
rising!
All white!
small
as a flower—
a locust cluster
a shad bush
blossoming
Over the swamps
a wild
magnolia bud—
greenish
white
a northern
flower—
And so
we live
looking—
At [...]

This is the first draft of a post of a few days ago, “Wei Wu Wei“. Thought I would post it as well for context and contrast.
truth is non dual
only seeing is itself truth
all else is bondage
non volitional living
the see-er and the thing seen
is the dualism
“The seeing of Truth cannot be dualistic (a ‘thing’ seen). [...]

People say that what we’re all seeking is a meaning for life.
I don’t think that’s what we’re really seeking.
I think that what we’re seeking is an experience
of being alive,
so [...]

Two are one, This
present being the reality
past and future the duality

is this
now-moment….
now

Remember, that every encounter we have is an encounter with ourselves.
____
We are narrow and boring, when we identify with our conditioning.
____
Not liking our bodies prevents access to spirit, for our feelings are the gateway to spirit.
____
Saying “I’m scared” will cause stress level to drop.
____
When in essence we can have feelings; when in persona, the feelings [...]

When we are present with our bodies,
there’s no need to create a problem to prove that we exist.
Just inhabiting our bodies gives us that assurance.
Not liking our bodies prevents habitation.
Practicing devotion to ourselves—not in a small self centered way;
but as an act of loyalty. Instead of abandoning ourselves,
we learn to inhabit ourselves.

Asking for love makes us unlovely,
for it reveals the extent to which we
don’t love ourselves.

Perhaps all the dragons in our lives
are only princesses waiting to see us act,
just once, with beauty and courage.
Perhaps everything that frightens us, is,
in it’s deepest essence,
something helpless that wants our love.
Rilke

“We cannot live the afternoon of life
according to the program of life’s morning;
for what in the morning was true will in evening become a lie.”
