Stillness in verse
Week 41; Haiku at One Deep Breath
All is still
when illusion is known
truth a green leaf
Sitting in silence
Ten toes dangle wet
Golden fish tickle

Very calming Ron. I can feel the cool liquid and the falling leaves.
You out done yourself with this one. I simply love it! I can feel it, breath it, and enjoy the tranquility of the moment….wonderfully expressed!
I love the second one!
The second of these reminds me of sitting by Lake Malawi, with my toes in the rock pools and the fish nibbling… Lovely memories, thanks for reminding me
Simple and sensual
These were just lovely- the second reminds me of dipping my toes in the ocean…
Thank you…
That second one is particularly good, IMHO. My feet itch right now for that water and those tickles.
The second is my favorite, too.
I like what you captured with these. I feel mellow
Thanks everyone who honored me with your comments.
It looks like #2 is the clear winner! And I agree. You all know how it is trying to throw something together on relatively short notice. I usually work on poems for weeks. There are a few I’ve been working on for years and may never finish…
Again, thanks
I like the idea of goldfish nibbling.
This being a Japanese form and style of writing I thought the nibblers should be of the goldfish/carp type commonly found in a koi pond to sort of go along with the theme.
thanks, jone
Words, music, and images make a perfect blend. I feel the nibble of those golden fish.
Thanks, AnnieElf.
I forget about the music. I need to get new tunes. I turn it off after awhile…heard them all.
