Magic Moments

This for “Writers Island” in response to this weeks prompt: ‘Magic’. I have not posted in some time but felt the need to share a little bit of the magic in my experience.

We stared. And stared the more

enthralled at the glow in the eyes

as we stared….and said nothing for long moments

then she said, “I love you too”

although I had not yet spoken but only the thought.

it was the most magical of moments

one of many such moments we would cherish

and to this day the memory is as magical

as the reality once was.

I love it! That magical moment when two hearts become one falling inlove pronouncing their affection, declaring their love and the world rolls to a halt, nothing else matters and when heart beats could almost be heard from the distance. Such moment is indeed magical.I wish you well.~ Jeques

First meeting, first kiss. Always treasured memories. And it’s amazing how the orchestra plays in retrospect.

Thank you Jeques, Kieth, and Anthony. What was most amazing to me was how she ‘knew’ what I had not yet spoken  and verbalized a response as if I had.

    Paisley,
Yes. Yes. And YES. (Twelve years in April).
Actually, things do change over the years. I’ll be thinking on the way home….’we should go out for Mexican tonight’ and more often than not when I get home and before I have had a chance to say anything (sometimes I wait to see what she says before I mention it) she will say something like….’I've been hungry for Mexican tonight. What do you think?’
I never get used to it. It will always be magic to me.

“and said nothing for long moments” there’s the test of love- and magic. comfort in the silence. A very thoughtful little poem. :)

    Constance,
Thanks for your kind words. I actually have a longer version that I wrote some years ago but didn’t have time to dig for it. Maybe I’ll post the whole thing someday.
