Wow! Your site is absolutely gorgeous! I will definitely check out the rest of your photos! This haiku definitely brought a smile to my face!
Your crayfish is sexy? There’s a country song potential in there.
Gorgeous photo.
Thanks Robin, Pearl. I have no idea about the sex life of crayfish, but I remember wondering when I was a young boy playing in the Bronx River (NY) and lifting rocks and finding them there, if I were intruding on their intimate activities. You can tell where my head was a twelve years old! I wrote a poem some years ago about that experience on the Bronx River. It is here if anyone is interested: The Arches
that made me smile….
Neat haiku Ron, I love the photo as well.
Next time I walk along the beach, I am going to life the rocks. Love the photos and your header.
Hi Ron, I don’t think we have met. I like the story you told in your comment. Too bad as adults, its hard to find that joy and wonder.

A beautiful blog indeed, Ron! And that’s quite a family you have! Congratulations!
I remember lifting rocks in the “crik” as we called it just down the road where I grew up… you never knew what you were going to find!
It made me laugh, too!
Thanks Juliet, Brian, Marcia. Hi Rose. Nice to meet you. Regina, I trust you are now having a nice happy reunion. Thanks all for stopping by.
I like the nature aspect of this one line ku and the surprise at the end. Never thought about a sexy catfish before….
How did you manage so much in one line and yet still have a surprise ending
Bravo
Neat hook in this one-liner (sorry, lots of fishing puns there) -who would ever think of a sexy crayfish!
Your photos are amazing~especially the background for your blog header
Thanks Zapped. Since these one-liners are called haiku I actually thought of something nature related which I assumed is one of ‘ku’s characteristics and as mentioned in my response(#3) above I had already written about an actual incident like this from my youth.
Tammy, I have no idea. It just happens sometimes, but thank you.
Becca, I also assumed crayfish mate somehow and I may have unintentionally disturbed the arcane sexual practices of these little creatures.
I wish I could take credit for the header photo. It came with the theme as credited in the footer. Most of the Flickr photos are mine however.
Thanks for noticing.
I like this so much!
That was too cute….
