For Brody
For this weeks haiku prompt “Simple Pleasures) at One Deep Breath Poetry
Downs knows no bounds
When he smiles that broad smile
I melt in pleasure
Brody runs, grabs, hugs
Paw Paw, full lips offered
purest simplest pleasure

Two very wonderful poems.
Both haiku are very special. I look forward to sharing them with my daughters when they arrive home from school.jodi
Lovely haiku!
great photo - my son is 26 and lives in a supported house 10 minutes walk away from us - he has the same winning smile.
hi ronthanks for dropping by on mine; the fishermen were on the Isles of Scilly - the photographer is phill deason; I only supply the words.
I can identify with both your haiku - my brother is autistic. The photo is beautiful.
Children always know how to enjoy life’s simple pleasures, and help us do that too :)Beautiful haiku to honor your boy!
Oh, wonderful pleasures!
I really love that first one, and the photo. Thanks!
Hi Ron! Brody’s smile melts me too! What a sweet, gentle face. Your haiku are wonderful!!:)
awww…bless him, what a sweet little boy! I bet he can be mischievous too? Did you write one last week about boys…snips and snails?
Brody indeed has a beautiful smile
Really enjoyed your Brody Haiku. He is quite the little stinker, isn’t he??!!

I’m a special ed para.. So gave this a standing Ovation….How could any such sweetness be ever considered a dis ablity..One just needs to look with fresher sharper eyes.
Thanks everyone. We have much to learn from such as these. Brody is indeed special but not because of a disability, but because of his unfettered, unconditional love.
He turned 11 a couple of days ago and we had a wonderful celebration at a local restaurant. He was so excited, as were we.
this is just beautiful!
I don’t blame you:D
