  1. I always like poems about science, there aren’t enough of them. I like the second one too, its great!

  2. I agree, not enough scientific ones. Both of these work very well! I like that — we are born of Suns!

  3. Yay for science-y haiku.

And I lvoe the ending of the second.

  4. and I apparently can’t spell love. Oops.

  5. Thanks Crafty, Robin. That first one was inspired by something I saw on the Global Mindshift site. If you remember Star Trek (and other Sci Fi stuff) they talk about ‘carbon based life forms’. It turns out that nuclear fusion (what happens in the suns core) produces carbon, the base mineral out of which ultimately we are all made. (Or something to that effect. A scientist I’m not)

  6. Very cool! Steven Hawking would love this too ;)

  7. Where can one find more energy than in the cosmos?
    Love comes very close!
    \Nice.

  8. Clare…unfortunately typos are common in the blogging world…actually, I didn’t even notice till you pointed it out. Have you seen that thing where a paragraph is written with only the first and last letters are correct and everything in between is scrambled and it is slitl raedbale? Strange, but true.
