Taste of Eternity
“Wisdom tells me I am nothing. Love tells me I am everything. Between the two my life flows.”

None of us are completely present. So don’t feel guilty, but do know presence is still the great teacher, those enlightened moments that come now and then. When we are manipulating, changing, controlling, and fixing, we are not there yet. We cannot be present to something and trying to change it at the same time.
The calculating mind is the opposite of the contemplative mind. The first is taught by the systems of our world, the second by the Holy Spirit.
We might consider this prayer to try to draw ourselves into a contemplative frame of mind:
Be still and know that I am God.
Be still and know that I am.
Be still and know.
Be still.
Be.

Seeing
Look at the words on this page.
Observe your eyes picking up the light,
your mind making out the symbols and interpreting the words.
Observe your mind thinking about what these words mean.
Observe yourself thinking…
Understanding…
Now step back from your mind
and observe the part of you that can observe your thoughts.
What is that that can observe thought
or no thought?
What is that?
Take a moment and observe your consciousness.
You can’t see it physically, or feel it,
but you can be made aware of it.
You become aware of it
by observing it.
As it is what you are
it behooves you to know it.
By realizing that which you are
you come to know why you were born.
There is a purpose to your existence, and it’s time to discover it.
Once you know the purpose for which you incarnated
you can begin fulfilling that purpose and you will be guided to.
Once you begin fulfilling your life purpose
your life will be more fulfilling,
more meaningful,
happier.
From the Heart,

When you discover the privilege
and the profound opportunity
inherent in being alive,
your life will become
a Sacred Blessing
for others.
Honor the Grace
that is Life
within this
moment.

Paradox
Question of the day:
What is it to fall into the mystery of God?
The human and the divine co-existing at the same time is real religion. This creates honest people. People who don’t waste time proving they’re right, superior, or saved.
They spend time on a journey falling deeper into the mystery of God where they feel safe enough, secure enough, and loved enough to admit such things.
That is how one gets into the mystery of freedom, and why this notion of freedom is so scary.

May the conscience and the common sense of the peoples be awakened,
so that we may reach a new stage in the life of nations,
where people will look back on war as an incomprehensible aberration of their forefathers!

To say ‘I don’t have time,’

War can only be understood and put an end to if you and all those who are concerned very deeply with the survival of man, feel that you are utterly responsible for killing others.
What will make you change?

Meditate on this one for a while….
“I gave way to delight, as mystics have for centuries when they peeked through the curtains and discovered that this world, so manifestly real, was actually a tiny stage set constructed by the mind. We discover abruptly that everything we accept as reality is just social fabrications”
Timothy Leary, 1966…

To comprehend and to understand God
above all similitudes,
as He is in Himself,
is to be God with God,
without intermediary,
and without any otherness
that can become a hindrance
or an intermediary.
Whosoever wishes to understand this must have died to himself, and must live in God, and must turn his gaze to the eternal light in the ground of his spirit, where the Hidden Truth reveals Itself without means.
Ruysbroek.

A myriad bubbles were floating on the surface of a stream.
‘What are you?’ I cried to them as they drifted by.
‘I am a bubble, of course’ nearly a myriad bubbles answered,
and there was surprise and indignation in their voices as they passed.
But, here and there, a lonely bubble answered,
‘We are this stream’,
and there was neither surprise nor indignation in their voices,
but just a quiet certitude.

There seem to two kinds of searchers:
those who seek to make their ego something other than it is,
i.e. holy, happy, unselfish (as though you could make a fish unfish),
and those who understand that all such attempts are just gesticulation and play-acting, that there is only one thing that can be done,
which is to disidentify themselves with the ego, by realizing its unreality, and by becoming aware of their eternal identity with pure being.

The View from the Center of the Universe;
We are central to the universe. This belief has been the foundation of all centering cosmologies in the past, but today it is no longer merely an assumption. Now we have evidence. During the centuries between Newton and the current cosmological revolution, however, people could find no such evidence and abandoned centrality as wishful thinking. Instead, they embraced the notion that humans are insignificant, isolated beings in a vast, mostly empty space, and made the best of it by finding a kind of nobility in self-deprecation. This has led to the cultural result that the phrase “I’m human” now means basically “I make mistakes,” “I have my limits,” “Don’t expect too much of me.” Admitting our own imperfections and apologizing for our mistakes is a worthy purpose for invoking this phrase, but thinking of being human essentially as a limitation is a self-fulfilling prophecy and denies us our cosmic potential.
